It is a new day in the association management industry. Kathy Bramhall began her life in Indiana, and since 2002 she has called the Tampa Bay area her home. After 25-plus years in the industry, she is rethinking how Condominium Associates does business, such as what will best fit the needs of their associations and how Condominium Associates can better serve its internal staff and clients. Kathy’s job is not only to sell business for the company, a full-service association management company, providing facilities management, financial management, and administrative services, but also to help retain existing clients, and she says, “I would not trade a minute of my life in this industry.” Over the years she has found that larger companies don’t always provide good customer service, but medium-sized, locally owned companies are better able to control their practices. By that Kathy means the company is free to tailor its services to supply customer needs, and that is what sets the company apart from our competitors. In her free time Kathy is an animal advocate and enjoys public speaking, teaching, and coaching board members.

Durante in the belief that maltene replacement technology (MRT) could vastly improve the performance and longevity of America’s roads. His daughter, Susan J. Durante, has been riding the roads alongside her father since the age of seven, learning how asphalt can be successfully rejuvenated by restoring those natural maltene components the manufacturing process and subsequent oxidation have depleted. Susan officially joined the PTI team in 1996. As the director of sales and marketing, she remains committed to her father’s philosophy of providing professional pavement restoration services using the highest quality American-made products, including the company’s most recent line of smog- and temperature-reducing road treatments that reduce airborne vehicular exhaust pollutants and help to mitigate heat island effect.

Vanessa began her career in community association management 15 years ago as a licensed community association manager. Since joining Leland Management in 2011, it has been Vanessa’s commitment to helping residents feel like part of their community and her dedication to guiding her communities toward their goals that has merited her a favorable reputation. Vanessa’s unique perspective and measurable contributions have propelled her forward in the industry, serving now as vice president of CAM development and board relations special liaison. Vanessa is working toward her latest goal of obtaining the PCAM designation. As a mother of two, she advocates the importance of maintaining work-life balance by carving out plenty of time to spend with her family and friends. She credits her mother as inspiring Vanessa with her love, support, and “never-give-up” attitude. But it was Vanessa’s paternal grandmother who provided the best advice she has ever received, saying, “Nadie aprende en cabeza ajena;” meaning, you must experience and learn from situations yourself and not take anyone’s word for it.
After 30 years in the concrete restoration industry, I retired, but I soon realized I was not ready to stop working. The owner of Promar, Alfredo Amador, whom I had worked with for almost 17 years, asked me if I would be interested in joining his company. Sharing the same work ethic and values made it a perfect match.
Years ago, at job site meetings I realized there was a disconnect between how the contractor thought and how the managers and board members thought. Originally, I pursued my CAM license to better understand our clients and their needs. I took the CFCAM course to learn even more. Now we focus on creating relationships with clients and not just getting the contract.
